The Duval family has written a letter suggesting the metals and mining firm replace chairwoman and CEO Christel Bories, business newspaper L'Agefi reported.
The blasts, while legal, deeply distressed the traditional owners and led to a public outcry and a national inquiry, ultimately costing three top executives and two board members, including the chair, their jobs.
The companies, which reached the settlement agreement in 2018, are Harmony Gold, Gold Fields, African Rainbow Minerals, Sibanye-Stillwater, AngloGold Ashanti and Anglo American.
