Marius Kloppers, former CEO of BHP Billiton, the world's largest mining company, has been appointed as a new member of the Board of FLSmidth.

Tony Troutman has joined FLSmidth to take on the position of Vice President – Process Technology in the company’s Minerals division.

Michael Woloschuk has been appointed to a new role within FLSmidth as Group Key Industry Director – Gold, to grow business activities and strengthen customer relationships in the gold industry.

FLSmidth has been selected to supply key process technologies for two independent greenfield gold mines being built in West Africa and Canada.

FLSmidth has received an order from the Russian minerals producer Norilsk Nickel Group.

While existing atmospheric leach processes leach a maximum of 95% copper in 20-60 hours, the FLSmidth® Rapid Oxidative Leach process can leach more than 98% of copper from concentrates containing as low as 8% copper in less than 6 hours; a faster and much simpler process.

FLSmidth has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT ANTAM (Persero) Tbk (“ASX: ATM; IDX: ANTM; ANTAM”), a diversified mining and metals company headquartered in Jakarta, Indonesia, to supply design, testing and services for developing mining projects in and around Indonesia. The MoU was signed on 3 September 2014 by Mr. Tato Miraza, ANTAM’s President Director and Mr. Thomas Schulz, FLSmidth Group CEO.

The order comprises various grab unloaders, portal scraper reclaimers, tripper cars and belt conveyors.

The Board of Directors and the Group Management of FLSmidth & Co. A/S have today reviewed and approved the Interim Report for 1 January to 31 March 2014.

FLSmidth has received orders worth approximately USD 43m (approximately DKK 231m) from the Mongolian company, Mongolyn Alt (MAK) Group, to supply engineering, procurement and site construction services for the Tsagaan Suvarga copper-molybdenum concentrator project.

FLSmidth’s Reflux™ Classifier technology is now accepted as the preferred fines gravity separator by the major producers of metallurgical coal with installations in Australia, USA, Southern Africa and China.

FLSmidth has received an order worth USD 38m (approximately DKK 205m) from Omani cement producer Oman Cement Company (SAOG) for the supply of milling equipment for a cement plant located in Rusayl Industrial Area, 60 km from Port Sultan Qaboos, Muscat.
