FLSmidth has signed a contract for the supply of pyroprocessing and comminution equipment for Tianqi Lithium Australia's lithium hydroxide processing plant, which will be located in Kwinana, Western Australia.

FLSmidth enters into a joint venture with the NHI Group, one of China's leading heavy machinery manufacturers.

FLSmidth has developed the new SmartCyclone™ closed-circuit grinding optimization system – a monitoring and control solution for reducing cyclone-related process perturbations, improving cyclone overflow particle size distribution, and predicting and controlling cyclone maintenance schedules. The new technology is the result of collaboration between the hydrocyclone team at FLSmidth Krebs and FLSmidth’s Automation team.

Effective 1 July 2016, Sven Hörschkes has been appointed as Vice President, EMENA, Minerals, covering all regional operations in Europe, Middle East and North Africa for the Minerals division of FLSmidth.

Jeff’s career history includes more than 20 years in senior roles where he focused on industrial products and services while working within and supplying to the mining, minerals and construction sector.

A need for portability sees HyLogger range expand

Global cement and minerals processing expert FLSmidth, and Kleemann, the global technology leader within road and construction machinery and part of Wirtgen Group, have signed a long-term cooperation agreement on supply of cone crushers for mobile applications in the construction industry.

As FLSmidth continues to strengthen its leadership and positioning in the marketplace, the company recently hired and appointed Jim Liporace as Vice President of Systems in the company’s Minerals division.
