It’s a gold rush for Ralspeed

When gearbox failure stopped production at the Omagh Minerals site in Cavanacaw, Ireland’s only operational goldmine, it initially seemed that repairs would take weeks if not months. However, in just over a week, motor control expert Ralspeed was able to supply a 250 kW variable speed drive system that allowed normal operations at the mine to be quickly resumed, thereby minimizing loss of output and productivity. Iron ore mine safety assured with 3D laser mapping

A state of the art laser scanning system supplied by 3D Laser Mapping has been used to improve safety of iron ore extraction in South Africa. The Riegl laser scanner forms an integral part of a Waste Spreader Positioning System (WSPS) developed by Stone Three Venture Technology in partnership with Reutech Mining. Read more

Stewart Group acquired by ALS Group

Stewart Group announces that it has entered into an unconditional agreement to be acquired by ALS Group, the testing services business of Campbell Brothers Limited (ASX code: CPB) for an Enterprise Value of 146 million pounds (approximately 222 million Australian dollars).
