Gold price erases most of 2014 gains

New Gold announces record gold production in 2011, 25% increase in gold resources per share and 2012 guidance with production growth at lower costs

New Gold Inc. (TSX and NYSE AMEX:NGD) today announces fourth quarter 2011 gold production of 100,671 ounces which resulted in record annual production of 387,155 ounces during 2011. The company, once again, met its gold production guidance range of 380,000 to 400,000 ounces during the year. Quarterly and annual total cash cost per ounce sold, net of by-product sales, were $561 and $448 per ounce, respectively.

Uranium Energy Corp Completes Sale of Uranium

Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE AMEX: UEC, the "Company") is pleased to announce the completion of a second uranium sale which will be reflected in the Company's upcoming Fiscal 2012 Q2 report. A further 60,000 pounds of U3O8 were sold for $52 per pound for gross proceeds of $3.12 million, bringing the total U3O8 sold during the first half of Fiscal 2012 to 120,000 pounds.

HudBay to Purchase 9.9% of Northern Shield

Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield") [TSX-V: NRN] is pleased to announce that it has entered into a subscription agreement with HudBay Minerals Inc. (TSX: HBM)(NYSE: HBM) ("HudBay") pursuant to which HudBay has agreed to purchase 11,300,000 units of Northern Shield at a price of$0.22/unit for gross proceeds of $2,486,000.

Wits Gold together with Pan African Resources to acquire the operating Evander Gold Mine from Harmony for ZAR1.7 billion

Witwatersrand Consolidated Gold Resources Limited ('Wits Gold') and Pan African Resources plc ('Pan African'), collectively the 'Consortium' announced today that they have entered into an agreement with Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited ('Harmony') to acquire 100% of Harmony's interest in Evander Gold Mines Limited ('Evander'), in a 50/50 joint venture, for a total Transaction consideration of ZAR1.7 billion (C$210 million 1) less any distributions made by Evander to Harmony prior to the closing date of the Transaction.

Endeavour Mining Corporation ("Endeavour" or the "Corporation") (TSX:EDV, ASX:EVR) is pleased to announce it met 2011 production targets with Q4 gold production of 24,010 ounces from its Nzema operations in Ghana and 21,586 ounces from its Youga operations in Burkina Faso.
