The project will kick off on 7th September 2018 with the first blast taking place at Mine 3 for the mining development phase. The infrastructure development will commence on 30th September 2018 and completion of work on Mine 3 is estimated for August 2019. The estimated commencement date for work on Mine 2 is mid-2019.

TDS was contracted for the project by Robor Pipe Systems, with whom TDS has a long standing working relationship as one of their preferred sub-contractors.

The project which commenced in November 2014 was awarded to TDS Projects Construction by Petra Diamonds following a successful tender process.

TDS Projects Construction has reached another major milestone in its health and safety record, building on previous benchmarks to have now reached a total 16 808 injury free shifts (and counting).

TDS Projects announced that they are launching an employee occupational health benefits program aimed at improving the lives of their staff. The initiative, administered by OCSACare, aims to help support employee wellness for TDS employees working on sites in remote areas.
