Today, Bridgestone Americas announced it has expanded the size offering for its OTR product portfolio with the Bridgestone VSMS2™ tire. The tire is now available in size 29.5R25 and is designed for the underground mining, landfill and salvage environments. The VSMS2 tire delivers 30 percent decrease in the frequency of sidewall cuts, improving the tire’s overall lifecycle performance by five percent.

Today, Bridgestone announced a $12 million investment to expand production at its Bloomington, Ill., plant to include popular off-the-road (OTR) tire sizes. The plant will produce multiple sizes and patterns in 29, 33 and 35-inch OTR tires, which until now have only been produced by Bridgestone in Japan. This investment in the Bloomington plant will help Bridgestone better serve North American customers with a regional supply of key products for years to come!

Bridgestone Americas today announced that Marisa Blank has been named executive director of sales, commercial off-the-road (OTR) tires, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO). In this role, she will lead and develop sales growth strategies for the mining and construction industries and related segments, including aggregates, ports, roads and bridges.
