EPA to announce deal on Hobet mine permit

The Obama administration is expected to announce today that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has signed off on an expansion permit for Patriot Coal’s huge Hobet 21 mountaintop removal complex along the Boone-Lincoln county border.
