Dust management in mining – thinking outside the square

The main concerns relate to potential amenity, and health and environmental impacts from the emissions. It is therefore imperative that mining/processing operations, as part of their overall environmental management, reduce fugitive particulate emissions to as low a level as is practicably possible. In this article, SKM’s air quality expert, Jon Harper, discusses the causes and types of dust emissions and mechanisms to measure and monitor dust emissions.
