This is truly a ridiculous story — at best a passion project/hobby fantasy for rich people to have something to talk about at dinner parties. Much more interesting are the very real projects looking to mine inner-space, undersea mining projects such as being brought to actual fruition by the likes of Nautilus Minerals. With all of the attention paid to sci-fi nonsense, it would have been nice to see some attention being paid to real concrete acheivements in sub-sea mining.
