Diamonds dominate Academy Awards fashion

America’s biggest film stars rolled out to the Academy Awards on Sunday with brilliant gems as key parts of their ensembles, notes International Business Times.

Best actress award winner Jennifer Lawrence wore a waist-length string of tiny briolette diamonds by Chopard, which cascaded over her shoulders and down her back, with matching drop earrings.

Anne Hathaway, who won for best supporting actress, wore an ornate Tiffany and Co. floral diamond and platinum necklace backwards with matching bracelets and stud earrings. All pieces together were worth $839,300.

Nominee for best supporting actress Helen Hunt sported a multi-string tiny-diamond necklace, worth $700,000, with matching earrings.

Jessica Chastain, a nominee in the best actress category, wore vintage Harry Winston diamond earrings with matching bracelet.

British actress Samantha Barks, who performed in Les Miserables, sported one the biggest single jewels of the night — a 14.67 carat oval diamond pendant set in an 18k gold necklace from House of Waris for Forevermark.

Displaying some alternative sparkle, Jenna Dewan-Tatum wore opal earrings and ring by California designer Irene Neuwirth.
