Tucson, Arizona – October 22, 2008 Modular Mining Systems, Inc., the market leader in information management solutions for mining operations worldwide, announces that Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) will implement the Modular IntelliMine® integrated asset management suite at their Casa de Pedra iron ore mine in Brazil.
The installation will consist of the DISPATCH®, MasterLink®, and PowerView™ solutions, including Fleet Management and Crew Management modules. Together, these systems will provide optimized productivity, enhanced site-wide communication, and powerful reporting to Casa de Pedra.
Casa de Pedra is in the midst of a significant project that will increase iron ore production. CSN concluded that implementation of the IntelliMine® suite provides the best return on investment. Modular solutions will replace other mine management technology currently operating onsite.
