The company produced 49,874 ounces of gold in the nine months to September, or 7.8% less than in the same quarter last year. It also cut its 2016 production target.

Total production for Q3 was 36,496 gold equivalent ounces using gold to silver ratio of 75:1.

Spot gold was up 0.2% at $1,255.42 an ounce.

Shares in the Mexico-focused precious metal producer dropped as much as 2.4% to 1608 pence in London after the news.
