Half of the output from Ghana’s Ewoyaa mine is earmarked for a refinery that Piedmont Lithium plans to construct in Tennessee.

It has secured rights over an additional 536sq.km in one of the largest and highest-grade lithium areas in North America.

Assay results from drill hole EZ-23-003 returned 324.6 metres at 0.34% NiEq.

The Supreme Court said earlier this month that the federal government’s broad-based environmental reviews around large mines and major infrastructure associated are unconstitutional.

The company has lowered its guidance for full-year nickel production by 9% to approximately 102,000 metric tons.

Last week, Zijin Mining said joint venture Manono Lithium SAS was granted rights over the northeast tenement of the Manono mine.

"There is a willingness to invest, especially in critical minerals," German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told reporters.
