Report to US Congress raises concerns over China’s rare earth control

Automakers are knocking at the doors of new producers, such as Madagascar and Mozambique.

New report says lithium, nickel sulphate and rare earth prices are set to recover sharply but graphite, magnesium and titanium markets are in for more pain.

While there is a need for 200,000 tonnes of graphite to meet demand, the current US supply capability is zero.

The development follows the completion of a definitive feasibility study of Vidalia Further Expansion project.
