By reprocessing tailings, Barrick Gold will obtain concentrated sulfur for its Nevada Gold Mines and eliminate a source of potential groundwater contamination.

Americas Gold is optimistic that a dispute that has shuttered one of its mines for about 14 months can be resolved this week.

The indicated resources total 22.6 million tonnes at 1.34 g/t gold, for 975,000 oz., with inferred resources of 6 million tonnes grading 0.92 g/t gold.

The expansion would increase production to an average of 218,000 gold oz. annually.

Drill highlights include 13.8 metres of 8.46 g/t gold from 290 metres.
