Western Australia’s miners call for inquiry over reported sexual assaults
Mining companies with operations in the state back call for a parliamentary inquiry into climbing sexual assault and harassment allegations in the workplace.
The two companies jointly own the Coimolache mining company in Peru, and are both junior partners in large mines in Peru controlled by U.S.-based companies.
The Halifax, Nova Scotia-based miner also said it had launched an offering of common shares to Mongolian residents, as well as a concurrent non-brokered private placement, which in combination are expected to raise up to $4.4 million.
