From oil to copper to coal, China’s gigantic commodities industry is signaling that the first economy to be flattened by the coronavirus is getting closer to a return to normality.

The accident took place at the Veracruz coal mine in the Cundinamarca department.

Decision to cease operations was based only on adverse geologic conditions, the miner said.

Coal miners are halting operations across the country, where the death toll could reach 100,000 in the coming weeks.
