Coeur D’Alene shores up coffers with $350 million note offering

Buffeted by a disimal silver prices, Coeur D’Alene (NYSE:CDE) announced a US$350 million senior note offering due 2020.

Funds will be used for “growth initiatives and for general corporate purposes”

Earlier this month the company announced a share repurchase program. The company is trading near its 52-week low at $17.10 a share.

Coeur d’Alene Mines Corporation is the largest U.S.-based primary silver producer.

In the last four months, silver has dropped from $35oz to $27oz.
