Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE: CAT) announced that it recently reached an agreement with Eaton Corporation to have Eaton’s heavy duty transmission remanufacturing business done by Caterpillar’s Remanufacturing Division. The agreement calls for Caterpillar to remanufacture Eaton® heavy duty transmissions at its Summerville, South Carolina facility beginning in the third quarter 2009.
