Zambia’s mining minister expects Mopani Copper Mines deal by end-March

Union leaders at a BHP Group mine in Chile will present a new wage proposal to members in the latest sign of easing labor tensions in the top copper-producing nation.

The San Carlos Apache tribe and other Native Americans say the mine would destroy sacred land.

The company was exploring the possibility of expanding production to as much as 30 million tonnes a year.
