Brigus Gold resumes milling operations at Black Fox

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia–(BUSINESS WIRE)–

Brigus Gold Corp. (“Brigus” or the “Company”) (NYSE Amex: BRD; TSX: BRD) reports that power has been restored at its Black Fox Mill and operations have resumed. The Company reported on Friday, May 25th that severe forest fires had caused a power disruption which temporarily suspended milling operations. Mining operations were not affected by the fire and there has been no damage to the Company’s assets.

The Company remains on track to hit its second quarter production target of 18,000 to 21,000 ounces and will release its Q2 production in early July.
