Toronto-based Bold Ventures announced today that it has acquired two separate claim groups located within the Georgia Lake Area Pegmatite field in Ontario.
The two properties are the Jean Claim Group and the Barbara Claim Group. The first one consists of eight claims comprising 94 units covering an area of approximately 1,504 hectares, while the second one consists of two claims comprising 32 units covering an area of approximately 512 hectares.
According to the company’s press release, work carried out by the Ontario Department of Mines in the late 1950s identified a number of pegmatite dikes and sills within the two claim groups. “A systematic review of the geology and the historical work performed in the area indicates the potential exists to locate additional lithium bearing pegmatite dikes on Bold’s claim groups. A prospecting, mapping and sampling program has been recommended,” the statement reads.
Bold says that the Jean claim group is located approximately 7 km southwest of Rock Tech Lithium’s property, where a NI 43-101 resource consisting of 2.47 Mt grading 1.11% Li2O (indicated) and an Inferred resource of 2.50 Mt grading 0.98% Li2O has been identified.
