MaxMine appoints new chief executive, chief financial officers

Adelaide- headquartered MaxMine, a technology and services provider for open-pit mine sites, has appointed Shaun Mitchell as its new chief executive officer (CEO) and Rohit Selvaratnam as chief financial officer (CFO).

Mitchell, who joined MaxMine as chief operating officer last year, will lead the company’s growth as it expands its operations and further develops its products to harness the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the mining sector. 

Mitchell has a long track record in growing global technology companies in sectors ranging from digital media and ERP software to construction, transportation and defence. Prior to joining MaxMine, he was the CEO at defence technology firm Ocean Software and previously held leadership roles at Metricon and ECi Software Solutions.

As CEO of MaxMine, Mitchell will take on responsibility for the company’s day-to-day performance, product and operational development. He succeeds interim CEO Tom Cawley, who is returning to his role as Executive Chair, where he will drive the company’s strategic growth.

Selvaratnam brings over 25 years of experience in the financial sector to MaxMine. Most recently, Selvaratnam served as CFO at Celsus, the commercial operator of the Royal Adelaide Hospital, and has held senior positions at Seequent, Westpac, and Telecom New Zealand.
