IGO to record impairment against nickel assets in strategy shift
IGO has been undertaking a strategic review in an attempt to revaluate its resources.
The joint venture (JV) between Australian miner Riversdale Mining and Indian steel giant Tata Steel, which is developing the Benga coal project, in Mozambique, has fast-tracked the feasibility study to develop the project as a 20-million-ton-a-year project after an 84% increase in the project’s resources and reserves.
