Basil Read secures Mozambique coal mine contract

Chemaf agreed to sell its assets to Chinese defence and industrial giant, China North Industries Corp, or Norinco in June.

The restart marked exactly a century since the mine first went into production.

Case centres on a 2018 toxic spill at the Badila oilfield, equivalent in volume to 34 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
