The 14-week program at Collège Boréal, called Mining Potential, will launch at its campuses in Sudbury and Timmins to expose students to the mining industry and prepare them for entry-level jobs.

The association, which includes about 50 of Canada’s leading mining companies, is developing an “equity, diversity, and inclusion” protocol as part of its existing Toward Sustainable Mining program.

This week, mineral exploration and development leaders were recognized at AME's Awards Gala event at the Vancouver conference themed 'A Celebration of Excellence' as part of the Association for Mineral Exploration's Roundup 2022.

The decision to now surrender all of its remaining claims recognizes the challenges of obtaining mineral exploration and development permits in the area.
