Medgold is wrapping up a nearly 5,000-metre exploration program at its Tlamino gold-silver-lead-zinc project in southern Serbia that partner Fortuna Silver Mines is funding.
BTU Metals has expanded its Dixie Halo gold project in Red Lake, Ontario, by acquiring Burgudy Exploration and its 41.6 sq. km of prospective land in the area.
The Marathon deposit has the potential to develop an underground mine but for now management believes it’s more cost-effective to find open-pit resources at US$10 per ounce rather than more costly underground resources.
