Australia Looking for Mining Skills, Not Just Employees

Australian Mining reports that though many mine sites in Australia are looking for employees, the hard spots to fill are those that require specialized mining skills.
[Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal] senior public relations advisor Sharon Johnston told the Daily Mercury the company found suitable applicants “quite easily” because of the high amount of applications. But she said workers for specialised jobs like engineering were “much harder to come by”. She said control systems engineers, maintenance engineers, and maintenance planners were also in high demand.
