Russia to continue buying diamonds through state fund in 2025
The Russian budget for 2025-2027 has set aside $1.55 billion for the purchase of precious metals and gems.
Alrosa plans to sell $5.1 billion worth of diamonds in 2012, and increase production by 152,300 carats to 34.6 million carats, the company announced Tuesday after an executive committee meeting.
