The world's largest producer of iron ore shipped 80.3 million tons of the steel-making commodity in the quarter.
There are some 10,000 mining claims in Grassy Narrows’s interim area of interest for over more than 2,850 sq. km in the province’s far northwest.
The company said on Saturday that the forest fires were only a few kilometers from Bloom Lake.
Portugal already has the largest copper mine in the European Union, operated by Lundin Mining.
