MICROMINE on-board as major sponsor at the 2018 Austmine Innovation Roadshow
MICROMINE, the leading provider of software solutions to the mining industry, was recently announced as the major sponsor of the upcoming 2018 Austmine Innovation Roadshow. Following on from the success of the first Mining Innovation Roadshow event in Brisbane in 2017, the event is headed to Perth and will take place on the 13th of September.
Austmine is the leading industry body for the Australian Mining Equipment, Technology and Services (METS) sector and runs an exciting schedule of industry events across the country. Now in its second year, the Austmine Innovation Roadshow focuses on the latest trends and industry topics from across the METS sector.
The key theme for this year’s event Innovation Roadshow is “people”. The event will include a series of workshops and roundtable discussions addressing the role that teams, communities and management play in innovation and how the METS sector can continue to collaborate to ensure the mining industry stays competitive.
Topics of discussion include diversity, the role IP plays in collaboration, creating innovative business models and partnerships and breaking new solutions into the supply chain.

The format for the event includes a series of presentations from key industry representatives, a panel session of industry experts discussing how they lead and deliver innovation in their own companies and a series of group roundtable sessions discussing the role that people play in innovation.
The 1-day event will also include opportunities for attendees to connect through structured networking sessions, including post-event networking drinks.
MICROMINE’s Pitram Product Strategy Manager Gareth Dean will be presenting at the event and will discuss the role technology plays in driving efficiencies across the mining industry focusing on a recent Pitram implementation. Pitram is the market leading mine control and fleet management solution and assists mining companies to record, manage and process key mining data in real-time.
