Ivanhoe’s Kipushi zinc mine in DRC officially reopens
The restart marked exactly a century since the mine first went into production.
South Africa plans to publish a final version of its new Mining Charter for implementation by November, Mineral Resources Minister Gwede Mantashe said on Twitter.
The deadline for submission of written submissions into the #MiningCharter comes to an end this Friday, 31 August 2018. It is envisaged that the final Mining Charter will be published for implementation by November 2018. #ADUConference

Written feedback on the draft charter published June 15 can be submitted until Aug. 31. The set of rules is aimed at redistributing the benefits from South Africa’s mineral wealth more equally.
