PhotoSat is pleased to announce that it has completed satellite surveying of the AbraPlata (TSX.V: ABRA) Diablillos Project in Argentina. The surveying was carried out using stereo photos from the high-resolution DigitalGlobe WorldView-3 imaging satellite. The satellite survey consists of an elevation point every meter, contours with 1m elevation intervals, and the review and verification of the survey coordinates of 245 drill holes. To view the case history, visit AbraPlata Diablillos PhotoSat Case History.
3D view of the PhotoSat survey of the AbraPlata Diablillos Silver Project in Argentina showing one meter elevation contours and some of the drill hole locations.Based on comparisons between the PhotoSat surveying and over 200 ground survey points, the accuracy of the PhotoSat survey is better than 20cm in elevation.
PhotoSat’s review of the Diablillos drill hole survey data indicates that 234 of the 245 drill hole coordinates are accurate to better than 20cm. 11 of the drill holes have possible coordinate errors of up to 1.7m. The surveying of these 11 drill holes are being reviewed by AbraPlata.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to apply our cutting-edge satellite surveying technology and the world’s highest quality imaging satellites to advance AbraPlata’s Diablillos Project. Exploration and development success on the Diablillos Project will provide significant economic benefits to AbraPlata stakeholders as well as to the people of Argentina,” said PhotoSat President, Gerry Mitchell.
