Chile’s mining industry — a vanguard in climate change adaptation
Climate change has magnified its grip on Chile.
Mining Investment South America, a global mining conference connecting miners, investors and service providers will be coming to South America for the first time in 2018. Given the importance of Argentina for the South American mining sector, Mining Investment South America will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina from 15 – 16 February 2018. This conference is part of the successful global Mining Investment conference series which is held across 12 countries in 5 continents from Americas to Europe, Africa and Asia.
Mining Investment Conferences have always recognised the importance of Latin American Mining in the global mining landscape. Hence we started by focusing on the mining potential of Central American countries with Mining Investment Central America Conference in Panama from 2016. Over the last 2 years, this conference in Panama had managed to attract regional and global attendees from Panama, Mexico, Colombia, French Guiana, USA, Canada etc. In 2018, we will be shining the spotlight on South America and Mining Investment South America will be our second stop in Latin America and the only conference to be held in South America in our global conference calendar.
Mining Investment Conference Series, first launched in Singapore in 2015, have a proven track record of connecting international miners, investors and service providers. Given our extensive conference coverage across Asia, North America, Europe and Africa, we are well connected with global mining stakeholders. With Latin American countries such as Chile and Peru rapidly emerging as popular destinations for international mining investors, we believe it is the right time to refocus on Argentina. As the third largest economy in Latin America, it is timely to recalibrate Argentina as a focal point for South American mining investments.

Mining Investment South America is part of a global Mining Investment Conference Series organised by Spire Events since 2015. In 2017, Mining Investment Asia, Botswana, Africa, Europe, India and Central America have already been successfully held in Singapore, Gaborone, Abuja, Frankfurt, New Delhi and Panama City respectively. The conference will be launching in new destinations of China, UK, Ghana and Canada across 2017 and 2018.
