Gold price ahead of the Thanksgiving weekend
During this period, gold is usually just before forming a short-term top and starting the biggest decline within the final quarter of the year.
The largest D flawless heart-shaped diamond was sold on Wednesday in Geneva for $14.9 million.
The gem, which is called La Légende and was created by Boehmer et Bassenge, broke a world record in its category.
According to auction house Christie’s, the 92-carat diamond forms the centerpiece of a necklace of cultured pearls.
It was the top-selling item at the firm’s Magnificent Jewels sale, which was held at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues and achieved $94.5 million.
The previous record for a diamond of this kind was set in 2011 when a 56.15-carat rock sold for $10.9 million.

Beautiful piece.
I see the jewel is wider in comparison to height. May be Boehmer wanted to keep more carats intact.
Still a D/FL at 92 carats is magnificiant.
Would have appreciated origin, when the stone was mined, dimensions.
