Eramet lifts profit outlook on manganese rally, says nickel market tough
Eramet's manganese mine in Gabon is one of its biggest activities.
At CONEXPO-CON/AGG held in March in Las Vegas, power management company Eaton (NYSE:ETN) introduced its new valves CMA 90 and CMA 200 which, according to the firm’s Global Product Manager for Mobile Valves Nadine Powell, features onboard electronics and sophisticated software algorithms that provide more flexible configuration and more immediate communication.
Built in the machine is Eaton’s Pro-FX Ready solutions, which is a suite of software tools and function blocks that allows engineers to integrate hydraulic components to the control system. Thus, the machine is capable of providing access to real-time data on key indicators such as oil temperature or consumed flow.
“It also gives the customer the ability to connect online with an expert who is very knowledgeable about the valve, without having to wait for someone to get on a plane and come all the way to the job site. Considering that sometimes it’s a very simple fix, this allows customers to get their machines up and running when they need to,” Powell told MINING.com’s Michael McCrae.
The CMA, she added, is ideal for all-terrain cranes, utility trucks, aerial lifts, drill rigs, and excavators, among other applications.
