News Pittsburgh, PA – March 20, 2017 – Veolia Water Technologies sponsored a $2,000 scholarship at the Society of Mining, Metallurgy, & Exploration (SME) 2017 Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Denver, Colorado. One specific criterion for the Veolia scholarship was that the applicants show an interest in pursuing a career in water-related matters within the mining industry.
Heather Lammers, a graduate student at the Colorado School of Mines, was the proud recipient of the 2017 Veolia Water Technologies scholarship. Heather has demonstrated excellent academic marks while pursuing a Master of Science degree in Mining Engineering and is currently working on a thesis focused on current and alternative practices for tailing disposal and management.
