Austrade Announces Gekko Systems as Australian Export Award Winner!

BALLARAT, VIC – The Minister for Trade, Tourism, and Investment, the Hon Steven Ciobo MP announced Gekko Systems as the winner of the Australian Export Awards in the Minerals, Energy and Related Services category.

The judges remarked that the commitment of Gekko Systems to export is demonstrable.  “Its marketing is professional and thorough in every respect and its capability to support large projects well developed”.

Gekko’s Managing Director, Elizabeth Lewis-Gray said about the achievement: “This export award win for Gekko Systems is a win for energy efficiency, a win for innovation, a win for Australian manufacturing and a win for hard work and passion. The Australian Export Awards are co-presented by Austrade, the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and CPA Australia. In its 54th year, the Australian Export Awards are one of country’s most prestigious and longest-running business awards.

Other nominees in the category Gekko Systems was awarded were: Wilco Technologies (SA), Blast Movement Technologies (Qld), Consep (NSW) and Fortescue Metals Group (WA).

Gekko Systems secured the Governor of Victoria Export Awards (GOVEA) in October 2016. Gekko then advanced to the Australian Export Awards, where they were the first Victorian business, to be recognised at a National level in its category.
