CHINA MINING Congress & Expo 2010: Global Mining Talks on Co-operation, Responsibility & Development

CHINA MINING Congress & Expo 2010 hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Land & Resources and the Tianjin Municipal Government, will be held at the Meijiang Exhibition and Convention Center in Tianjin Downtown on Novemeber 16-18, 2010.  Mining ministers industry experts, top economists and CEOs for giant mining companies will gather together to hold a dialogue on co-operation, responsibility and development with a global perspective during the keynote sessions.


CHINA MINING Congress & Expo is considered one of the world’s largest mineral exploration and mining trading platforms.  It covers the whole value chain, including geological survey, exploration developments, mining rights trading, mining investment and financing, smelting and processing, technique and equipment, as well as mining services.

Since the first time CHINA MINING was held, in 1999, the number of visitors has increased dramatically.  Last year, for example, the event attracted more than 3,500 delegates from 55 countries and regions and there were over 420 booths.

There will be three major parallel events going on during CHINA MINING Congress & Expo:  the exhibition, conferences and featured events.

During the conference, government officials, industry leaders and experts from both Chinese and foreign mining industries will engage in a collaborative dialogue, covering topics that include mining policy, mining law, mining industry development trends, mining and capital markets, domestic and international investment opportunities, mining and sustainable development, commodities, geological surveys, technologies and equipment and more.

The exhibition consists of pavilions for main mining countries, mining and exploration companies, investment and financing institutions, evaluation and consulting companies, as well as for service providers and equipment suppliers.

Finally, there will be featured events, such as the CHINA MINING Awards Ceremony, cocktail parties, the gala dinner, mine site visits and a student day.
