Training for mining has moved to a new level

The mining campus just became a lot smarter, with expanded training content that covers the mining workforce and delivery by an LMS platform designed for mining.

As well as recently adding 10 new online courses and updating another 6 from its library of professional development and training courses, EduMine is now collaborating with other providers on a broad range of mine training applications to greatly increase its ability to address content and technology requirements for the entire mining workforce.

EduMine and VISTA Training

EduMine is collaborating with VISTA Training, Inc. of Wisconsin, USA to provide training for mobile and heavy equipment operation and mine health and safety topics. VISTA’s products and services possess considerable return on investment potential. They are recognized to yield financial benefits while also helping mine operations demonstrate a serious safety attitude to their employees, their insurance carrier and regulatory agencies such as MSHA and OSHA.

EduMine and HumEng International

EduMine is also collaborating with HumEng International of Quebec, Canada to provide online courses and assessments for mechanical and electrical maintenance and condition monitoring in mining. The HumEng mission is to design, develop and implement training solutions that increase operational efficiency and productivity, and to sustain these improvements through training best practices.

Collaboration with VISTA Training and HumEng International will greatly increase EduMine’s ability to address training requirements for technical and trades personnel in mining.

It all comes together with Campus+

EduMine is pleased to introduce the next generation of its campus offering … Campus+.

Campus+ adds additional learning resources and state-of-the-art eLearning technology to the EduMine Campus, providing the tools and methodology to deliver, track and assess training effectiveness across the entire domain of mining operations.

EduMine is partnering with eLearning pioneer Murray Goldberg of Mining Safety and Learning Systems to create the LMS technology solution, and training providers HumEng International and VISTA Training to create an end-to-end training solution.

New features include the ability to work offline, deliver multiple training content formats, track trainee and content performance, manage trainee skills and competencies, and relate performance to production and safety monitoring.

As quoted by Murray Goldberg, “Research proves that structured training delivered using blended learning affords the best possible training outcomes. In safety-critical and capital-intensive environments like the mining industry, this translates to fewer accidents, improved business continuity, and a more profitable bottom line. We are thrilled that, through our partnership with EduMine, we can help bring these benefits to the mining industry.”.

In the words of Simon Houlding of EduMine … “Campus+ will allow EduMine to offer its mining clients a one-stop, integrated, flexible solution for their training requirements that addresses both content and systems functionality… it is positioned to become the mining industry’s premier mechanism to ensure optimal training results.”.
