Star Diamond acquires Buffalo Hills project in Alberta
Located approximately 400 kilometres northwest of Edmonton, the Buffalo Hills project includes 21 mineral leases covering 4,800 hectares.
London-listed Petra Diamonds (LON:PDL), known for major findings in recent months, has just added a new rock to its collection of massive diamonds recovered from its historic Cullinan mine in South Africa.
The stone, a 138.57-carat white diamond, is classified as type IIa, D colour, meaning it has high clarity, and would be offered for sale in Johannesburg later this month, Petra said.

Last month, the company sold a 121.26 carat white diamond recovered from the same mine for $6 million to a joint venture between Nemesis International and Golden Yellow Diamonds.
The Cullinan mine, located north-east of Pretoria, has yielded several massive gems, including the largest rough gem diamond ever discovered — the Cullinan. The 3,106-carat stone was cut into two highly significant diamonds, which can be found in the Crown Jewels of the Queen of England.
Petra Diamonds operates four mines in South Africa and one in Tanzania.
