Delinquent Miner
Not to be too pedantic, but you might want to check your elevations for Climax Mine. The Climax gate is at the summit of Fremont Pass in Colorado. The highway sign calls the elevation 11,318 ft., or 3450 m. It may depend on what you call the “official” elevation of the mine, but it is most definitely above the elevation of Leadville, CO (10,152 ft., 3094 m).

Speaking of pedantic, which is a new word for me and thanks to Delinquent Miner for educating me with it, it would appear that all 10 of the mines are located in just 3 states, not 4…..whaz up wit dat? Bad map? Bad pointers? Would have helped if the mine information had the state in it as well as the name of the mine and I’m way too lazy to go look them all up so I’ll just post this silly comment! LOL!

My desk is in the Met-Lab of the Ivanhoe Concentrator and it sits at 6120′ (about 1865m), but the Burro Chief Tank House sits at 6650′ (about 2027m). Where am I – It ain’t any of the (3) states above.
