RPM receives award for Mine Scheduling Solutions

Global publication Mining Magazine has just announced that RungePincockMinarco (RPM) has won their annual innovation award in the category of Mine Planning/Resource Modeling for their XPAC Solutions suite of products.

All mining software providers were eligible to enter the race for this prestigious award. What makes it so coveted is subscribers nominate products that they believe are new, innovative and are adding value to the industry. The winners are then decided by online voting by Mining Magazine’s readers rather than a more traditional selection and judging panel approach.

Commenting on this accolade RungePincockMinarco CEO Mr. Richard Mathews said “The most pleasing thing for us is that it was the mining industry software users who voted for what they believe is the most value adding product to be released to the industry over the last 12 months. It also shows that what is old can become new again.”

“We first released XPAC over 35 years ago to enable the economic realities of an ore body to be taken into account during the mine scheduling process. Since then, XPAC has become the market leader and standard setter for mine scheduling software across the industry. The new XPAC Solutions take the power of the XPAC scheduling core and combine it with mining method and commodity specific intelligence to deliver a streamlined end to end scheduling product. So a tried and true scheduling engine is once again a fresh, innovative and value adding software product”.

RPM have released XPAC Solutions for Open Pit Metals, Open Pit Diamonds, Oil Sands, Underground Coal and Open Cut Coal. These commodity and mining method specific scheduling solutions deliver a user friendly process driven method of scheduling, that still carry the power of the industry leading XPAC engine.

This suite of products has seen implementation and training times reduced by up to 75% compared with competing products and their seamless integration with other applications for Simulation and Financial Modeling is proving a real winner.

RPM will be presented with the award in Denver Colorado at this year’s SME Annual Meeting & Exhibit on February 15. The RPM team will be on hand at the SME Annual Meeting & Exhibit to demonstrate their XPAC Solutions along with their other products. Visit them at stand 1431 next month.
