A former UPS worker from Arizona has been charged with stealing a diamond valued in about $160,000 just to trade it later for a for $20 worth bag of cannabis.

Walter Earl Morrison, 20, allegedly swiped a package containing the precious gem while working in the cargo section of an airport in Phoenix.

According to court documents, he was unloading a plane when he stuffed a package he thought contained cash under his shirt.

He then allegedly traded the expensive rock for pot before he police traced the theft to him.

A UPS spokesperson told KNXV the jewel was recovered and delivered to the customer.

Morrison was fired and has been charged with felony theft. He is scheduled for arraignment Oct. 1.
