Following successful International Mining Café events at previous PDAC’s, this year’s International Mining Café will give Canadian companies a unique opportunity to meet with experts and companies to help them succeed in foreign markets. It is open to all Canadian companies in the mining sector (exporters of equipment, investment, services, or technologies and Canadian delegates & exhibitors at PDAC 2009).
The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) in collaboration with the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and the Canadian Association of Mining Equipment and Services for Export (CAMESE) are organizing the International Mining Café to allow individual meetings for Canadian companies involved in the mining sector with Canadian Trade Commissioners posted at the Embassies and Consulates from North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Europe. Additionally meetings can be arranged with representatives from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Export Development Canada (EDC), provincial governments, mining associations and with foreign companies from the above regions attending PDAC 2009.
Please note that there is no registration fee for the International Mining Café and that Café attendees will not have to be registered with PDAC 2009 to access the meeting room. The Café will occur at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building – Room 712 from March 2 to March 4, 2009
Registration for the International Mining Café will be required before Friday February 6 2009. Meeting times will be allotted on a first-come first-served basis. Registration forms will be available in early January.
