ESD to offer Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors course in Stavanger, Norway

Norway is Europe’s largest oil producer and is a crucial provider of both oil and natural gas for the continent, making ESD’s decision to re-introduce their Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors course into the country an easy one. The international training company introduced the course to the United Kingdom in 1989, and ran the course in Oslo, Norway from 1999. The company has since trained over 30,000 inspired delegates world-wide.

On the 20th-22nd of October, ESD will be running their unrivalled Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors course for the second time in 2014 in Stavanger, Norway. The course is a comprehensive overview of compressors and offers a deep understanding of how centrifugal compressors are influenced by the processes surrounding them. Delegates are given the opportunity to control and operate compressor processes for themselves, using acclaimed dynamic simulation models, which are heavily incorporated into each day of the three day course. By educating their staff on suitable, safe processes, companies can improve their designs, preventing shut downs and ensure the safety of their employees, all the while, saving unnecessary costs which result from poor operating practices. ESD Simulation Training provides a risk-free environment for operations personnel, experienced and inexperienced process engineers, mechanical engineers and rotating machinery specialists to deepen their understanding of centrifugal compressors and perfect their processing techniques.

“Control and Operation of Centrifugal Gas Compressors” is accredited by many international professional engineering institutions, including the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Institution of Engineers Australia. The course is taught by a world-class industry expert with a minimum of 30 years of practical experience in the industry.  Comments from past ESD delegates include:

“Great presentation content & lecturer’s industry experience & ability to provide relevant examples was invaluable.”

“Excellent course, this would be beneficial to others whether they have zero experience or 20 years.”

“Fantastic course, which I believe has enabled me to take on a different thought process especially in troubleshooting. Extremely beneficial to me and in turn to my employers. Made welcome and felt at ease.”
