Where are his current facts and figures? He does not have any. People like Brent Cook have been citing the same statistics for over 2 years and yet the market continues to move forward and financings get done! `The real beneficiary from Brent Cook’s comments are himself who are to buying severally discounted stock as a consequence of the negative hype. After all this is simple economics, self fulfilling expectations, if you can convince enough people that things will get worse and they believe it, inherently their buying/selling behaviour will reflect this inherent bias. However, we can no longer give credence to a theory that hasn’t come to fruition.
What investors need to start thinking is what will drive a company’s value/share price? Is it the underlying commodity, which in most cases has been trading side-ways or is it discoveries and taking discoveries to a resource? This is where real value is created and investors should focus on those companies that have a record of success and a deposit that can be advanced through from exploration to production.
Sorry Brent, your advice just don’t work for me anymore.
