South African communication agency wins two international awards

Cape Town, May 06, 2014 – Jincom Publishing, a Stellenbosch based communication agency, recently won two international Gold Quill awards for excellence in business communication.

Jincom specialises in developing communication solutions aimed at low literacy multi-lingual workforces, and works globally with leading multi-nationals in the mining and construction industries. Jincom simplifies complex and technical information into simple illustrated formats.

A Gold Quill award is the highest accolade in the global business communication environment, with more than 800 entries from across the world. Gold Quill is one of the International Association of Business Communicator’s (IABC) flagship programmes, designed to benchmark communication excellence worldwide. The IABC is a professional network of more than 15,000 business communicators from 80 countries.

Jincom won a Gold Quill for their Impilo Yethu campaign for Murray & Roberts, one of their longest standing clients. This monthly campaign has been rolled out for the past 5 years and these materials are translated into 5 languages and delivered to over 12,000 staff across South Africa.

Jincom also won a Gold Quill for their SIYANDA Campaign created for Aveng Grinaker-LTA. This monthly campaign comprising a supervisor manual, monthly toolbox talks, key message posters, 2 page comics and included training sessions for frontline staff. These materials were delivered to over 12,000 staff at 60 different sites across South Africa.

Delegates from Jincom will be accepting their Gold Quill awards at the IABC World Conference, 8-11 June 2014 in Toronto.
