Gatos Silver posts solid 2024, preps takeover by First Majestic
The deal will merge Gatos’ main Cerro Los Gatos mine with First Majestic’s San Dimas mine in Durango, and its Santa Elena operation in Sonora.
MEXICO — Excellon Resources has successfully sealed the area of the unexpected water inflow that began Oct. 4, 2008, at its Platosa silver-lead-zinc project in Durango. Dewatering of the mine has now allowed full production activities to resume. Routine mining activity was resumed on Dec. 1.
